New Website

So, I used to have a website to sell my work, advertise my services and place a portfolio of my best images online for people to see. As I recall, this was quite a ‘painful’ task at the time which went through something like five complete ‘start-from-scratch’ iterations over the years. Worse, it was all coded by me using dreamweaver which I then uploaded to a web-server using FTP.

Creating new galleries was a nightmare as they were all ‘flash’ galleries generated from Lightroom, which I uploaded manually and used links to initiate them. Then of course, everyone was buying iPhones and iPads, the world stopped using 'flash’ and all of my galleries stopped working so I had to start over.

This time around, things were meant to be so much easier, after all, I’m not touting for work, I’ve only got to choose my favourite images and am using a templated website builder from Squarespace… how hard can it be?

Well, actually harder than I first thought. The truth is, I’m more interested in taking photos and experiencing life than sitting in front of my computer which I do enough of during the normal working day.

Please bear with me while I pull the new site together, very slowly and a little at a time. I’ll try to keep the gallery content dynamic and interesting and use the blog to upload new articles, reviews, projects and things of interest.

Right now, I’m stripping a lot of things out (again) because I’ve already managed to over-complicate the site by trying to do too much.

At least this time around, I have a logo that I’m happy with.
